Hi, I’m on a Twitter break. The election yuk-yuks are killing me. Actually, they’re not precisely killing me; I’m feeling great. It’s the gags that are moribund. Hi.
Yeah, I joined the whole Twitter thing for the entertaining one-liners in 140-character bites. But when even the tweets of intelligent men like Jon Gruber read like five-year-olds wiping snot on their sleeves after a tantrum, it gets pretty old. Seventeen tweets in one day about Gov. Palin’s seventeen-year-old daughter? Well, you’ve lost the right to whine about the pissy nature of political discourse (even if “Juno in Juneau” was sort of clever).
