It’s important, the Israelis are told, not to damage Palestinian confidence in the “peace process,” though it is difficult to see how such a process, which is to peace as Velveeta is to cheese, could be further damaged by hard men who have never kept any agreement they’ve made. It seems that local Dems in VA are grossly underperforming Obama's November totals in Northern Virginia special elections. That does not, of course, mean that the GOP has rid itself of that nasty habit of pulling defeat from the jaws of victory.
